Icebound Update #2: Meet the Team

Greetings! This will be the last devlog post before the demo is released. Although progress was delayed in the intervening time due to a variety of reasons, we are on-track to release a demo this month (in Valve time). This demo will contain the entire introductory chapter, an example puzzle, and, hopefully, voice acting – all in all, it will resemble a chunk of the finished game. Upon release, we will not only attempt to send out a wider amount of publicity about the game, but will attempt to begin pre-orders, either on the site, on Desura, or in a Kickstarter campaign with some special swag.

The game is also going through a revamp period where the interface will be polished up nice and shiny.

    The art is looking great so far.

    Question: How does one pronounce “Dougal”?

    •  It’s DOOG-ull. Actually, the art will be getting a revamp soon to make it slightly more stylized, since there are just too many characters to put that level of detail into in a reasonable time frame. Otherwise, though, the character designs will stay the same.
